Oscar had to make the fight at 147 to add some kind of legitimacy and interest to the fight. People already thought Pacquiao was gonna lose, at 154 they would of expected annihilation. The Boxing public were already critical of the fight when it was at 147.

DLH holds all the card in negotiations not matter who it is, so ultimately its down to what DLH prefers to do.

Right I was referring to that Foreman has 8ko's in 27 fights.

agreed, though Santos looked like **** and was inactive for over a year. Im just saying Pac always says he wants to fight the best and takes on all challengers and moving up to 154 to fight Yuri Foreman instead of taking on Floyd, Mosley or a more legitiamte challenger at 154 is contradictory to what he supposedly represents.

You need to put into consideration that Pac is going up in weight again in a territory that is still unknown to him and fighting the champion. That's a gutsy tasks for a blown up featherweight.

The question in bold is a good question but the other is ridiculous. If manny really can move up effectively to 154 I would be very disappointed in their camp for the catchweight **** they pulled with cotto. I think its ill advised for them to make this fight instead of fighting mayweather. Yuri has never been defeated although he does have a SD on his record. We don't really know what this guys full potential is. Especially if manny's moving up to 154 but its been said before. It would be much more credible for them to fight floyd really at any weight than to fight yuri to gain yet another belt through a catchweight bout or at the maximum of 154. I'm not exactly sure what they're trying to pull here.

I agree the first question is not valid, I made this thread in haste without dissecting the DLh negotiations. Essentially your post is kind of what im getting at.

why is he going up in weight? If he wants to prove himself at 154, doing it a gainst a guy with 8 knockouts who is the weakest champion proves nothing.
