It has been known for a long time now that Pac wanted to run for public office, he actually did run 3 years ago but lost. That he is filing again this year shouldn't really be a surprise. Maybe it was good timing on Pac's part 3 years ago but most boxing fans didn't notice his absence while campaigning. The problem now is that this pac-floyd fight is so keenly awaited and the elections are looming to knock out potential fight dates. That being said, this fight will be so big that it probably gets made anyway as both fighters cannot find a comparable financially rewarding fight anywhere else. Assuming the election related activities of Pac end (win or lose) by June 15, tag on necessary training and media build up for the fight, we can still reasonably expect the fight next year. I'm cool with that as I just want to see the fight (although I got Pac)
I still think the deal breaker that is out there is the purse sharing, 50/50 to me is fair (45-45, winner of fight takes extra 10 would probably ensure a more spirited fight though). I dont think the weight is an issue anymore but if I hear that there is already an agreed purse (which doesn't concern me, I ain't getting a cut) then it's time to stock up on drinks cause we are ON!
