I don't think much of either, really, so I won't say which I think is better....but I'll say which i think is worse:

Roach. He's punch drunk, and was never a great thinker anyway....why would anyone take his advice as a trainer? He's probably a nice guy, and no doubt can use the money he makes "training", but geez....

I think Buddy, he took an average but yet skilled fighter like Tarver to beat Roy Jones Jr. That tells you something.

        Ya
        Buddy Mcgirt all the way

U see what he did with Gatti, just amazing

Roach is overrated in my opinion, he led pacquiao to a win over barrera

then a draw to Marquez, then they did the same thing against, Morales except lost

Evidently you're wrong. No one would pay him if he's as sorry as you describe. Why, in your estimation would they pay him to train boxing's elite, then?

There must be some reason; it's sure as hell not his good looks!

Trainers can be judged at least two ways. By what they accomplish during actual training and then what they do at fight time. Roach was in a trainer's dreamland with Pacman, simply because Pac is very committed to the game and seemed very ready to at least try everything that Roach wanted. On that basis, Roach looks like a great trainer.

But, on the Morales fight night, he showed he doesn't handle adversity very well. He's supposed to control everybody in his corner and wasn't able to. Even with Pac stting there thinking "Roach, tell me what you want to do", he was not able to keep it together. Despite having a cutman who is arguably the best in the business, and one of the most traianble fighters in the sport, Roach ****ing blew it. That alone makes him less of a trainer than McGirt.
