Now he would just get rolled. He looked soft in there tonight.
Honestly? At that point, it'd be a very close decision either way.

I could see Pacquiao landing the left hand to the body and head frequently and Guzman landing the overhand right doing the same. There's styles could matchup a lot of different ways depending on the game plans and how they're employed.

So you think Pacquiao and his team had the foresight to see Mayweather retiring instead of fighting the De La Hoya rematch and Hatton turning down the De La Hoya fight before Pacquiao?
No, I think that his team had the foresight to see match ups with Nate Campbell and Juan Diaz would still have been bigger marketably then a Guzman showdown. At the very least, Guzman and Campbell are even in that regard. Juan Diaz however, is simply a bigger draw and a big challenge in itself (especially at that time, it would have seemed a BIG challenge.)

Guzman was a skilled guy with less reward than a big challenge in moving up.

Why would Pacquiao have fought him if he could have been just as challenged (it would have seemed) and more greatly rewarded?

Yeah OK, so after the Barrera fight they already had the Marquez rematch lined up even though it was 5 months down the road, right? So if I get a good source saying you're wrong, would you admit it?

Guzman was chasing Pacquiao coz he wants to land a big money fight with him, he wants to be a millionaire. Pacquiao was his meal ticket but the fight doesn't make sense business wise coz Guzman doesn't bring any jack **** to the table.

Let's not forget Manny ducked Katsidis and Darchinyan too. And Casamayor called out Pacquiao after his win with Katsidis, so I guess Pacquiao ducked Casamayor too.

If you're not even that confident Guzman would win, why bother making a thread that Packy ducked him??

                Seems contradictory.

Unless you're making an impulse thread cuz' Guzman lost tonight.

In which case I understand. I do it all the time.

I remember that, I remember saying I thought Pacquiao-Diaz was a great fight (duh) and waiting for Juan Diaz to fight Pacquiao and Manny fighting David Diaz instead.

Guzman impressed and was the main event in the Soto fight. HBO would have loved that fight; If Soto would have won that fight, Pacquiao would have fought him at 130.

I can find more than 1 article saying so.

lol at trying to compare it to Floyd.

Last I checked, Mayweather has been a welterweight for 5 years.

Manny was a lightweight for a grand total of

                    one fight.

Lets not get ****** here. I mean the thread in itself already is silly, but now its just getting Burner-like and Horus-itis.

Were you confident Cotto or Margarito could beat Mayweather?

I wasn't, but I know I anted to see the fight. Why? Because both deserved it and Mayweather should've fought at least one of them, but he didn't.

Boxing is not fought on paper.
