Joke fight. B-Hop might indeed beat some decent HWs.. but just the sort of decent HW Haye isn't. Haye brutal KO within 6.

B-hop should focus on Roy, then on Dawson, and Williams (if Williams beats Martinez). but hey whatever the man wants. Im sure he has a plan for eveyone, just can't see B-hop at his age having anything except ring savvy and defense against a power puncher like Haye. i guess he plans on using those old tricks and lasting 12 rnds just to say he wasn't KO'd. Id rather see him take on the winner of the super six or Dawson instead. a Calzaghe rematch would be cool too.

I cant imagine Hopkins as an Heavyweight! I mean hes to small! Even Haye is much bigger physically. And hes faster as well even though hes much bigger! Hopkins should not do this, i think he gets seriously hurt! @Age 45 Hopkins cant deal with the formes best cruisergeweight whos now a solid heavyweight! I think Hops should retire after the Jones fight which im shure he will win. Hopkins has changed his style perfectly to compensate his age, but Roy was always a guy living from his refelexes and speed. Speed and Reflexes are dimishing fist when you get old. Hopkins has great ring generalship and is an inteligent fighter, he will outsmart Roy. Even an knockout is not out of question!

                one phrase: in-house money...

hopkins will go out on a bed of money...he'll gladly take a career ending punch from haye...

It would be a good indicator of how well JC performed. But my worry is BH wont do well with the 2 fights before facing haye and scuppers his plans.
Hugh - I don't think it's fair to compare Hay against JC they are two different fighters in anyway possible and at two different weight classes.

I think, this is a risky fight for Bhop coz of his age and at the heaviest weight in boxing. But it's possible that BHop can full this off, as what RJJ did with Ruiz. IF Haye can land his hard shots it will be goodnight for BHop.

I don't think Hopkins even has a reasonable chance of winning. Haye isn't Pavlik. He creates angles, punches very hard, and is reasonably slick. If Haye landed a clean, powerful shot that Hopkins didn't see coming, then it would probably be lights out. Stepping up two weights, without any tune-up fights at heavyweight, would be a mistake on Hopkins part. Haye is a great boxer, not to be taken lightly. To put it simply, he is no Ruiz. Jones beating Ruiz is no comparison to this match-up.
