Haye throws bombs, not very hard slaps No one is saying Haye is anywhere near Hopkins in terms of skill, just that it's too much for Hopkins to deal with as Haye is young, heavier, and much more powerful. Haye almost knocked Valuev down: a guy who has a skull twice as thick as most mere mortals. Those shots are going to be hurting a guy like Hopkins wherever they land. Yeah Chris Byrd did pretty well. But Chris didn't move to heavyweight at the end of his career.

Glad you enjoy the "avi" picture!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a question of Hagler, Sugar Ray, or Hearns and greatness!
That is the type of fight it will have to be in order for Hopkins to stand a chance.......boring. It must be what some (not me) consider a boring fight. If it's a guns a blazing match, that does not bode well for Hopkins. But I still give him a chance to beat Haye. But I give John Ruiz a good shot at beating Haye also. And we all know how that will look if Ruiz pulls that one of.

Valuev also got a controversial decison over an old Evander Holyfield. I still don't think Valuev is very good measuring stick. All he had was size, IMO

Gotta agree with a few of the other posters

What exactly does Haye get out of fighting B-Hop?

OK, It'll earn him a coupla quid and a bit of American exposure - but career-wise it's a crazy move.

After the Valuev fight, Haye'll want to put on an entertaining performance for his next fight. Hopkins won't provide that.

            If he wins, he's beaten a 45 year old middleweight/light-heavy - well, no ****!

            If he loses, he's lost to a 45 year old middleweight/light-heavy - ****!

He can't win - Haye seems fairly shrewd, It'll never happen.

Not sure about all this talk of Hopkins being shot though. On what evidence? His last fight? Still looks pretty handy to me.

This shouldn't go down as a title winning accomplishment because Haye is the weakest link just like Ruiz was when Roy beat him. I'm not hating, I'm just keeping it real. This was probably Golden Boy's plan all along to have Haye duck the Klitchkos so Hopkins could get an easy belt. Haye is one of the most overrated fighters out there. The best wins on his resume are a glass chinned Enzo Mac and an old ass Mormeck. As hyped up as I think Dawson is, I think he would give Hopkins a tougher fight than Haye would based on styles even though I think Haye could spark Dawson if they ever fought.

B Hop will destroy Haye. He is a defensive master and Haye is a perfect fit for him.

Hopkins the best thing you can do is support Eddie Chambers, because you have no shot against Haye.
