If you were to add 4 more fighters, you could add Paulie if he has beaten Diaz in December. Also, you ould throw in some mix of Witter, Judah, Holt, Torres, or even the comebacking Kotelnik.Comment

I don't think they are Showtime fighters. I don't think Sho has a contract with them. They are doing the great fights/no rights thing... The only fighters I think they have under contract are in the super six. But, I think those contracts end when the tourney ends...
You can also add Nate, the winner of Diaz/Malignaggi,Urango, the winner or loser of Bradley/Peterson even the winner of Funeka/Guzman, and if Valero can get a visa add him... Holt, Torres, and Zab Judah he brings a name.Comment

this tourny has ko's written all over itWith the current success of the Showtime produced super middleweight (168 lb) ‘Super Six’ tournament, it appears that HBO also has plans of offering a tournament of its own in March. Four of the best jr. welterweights (140 lb) are in talks to compete in a four man tournament which will include Devon Alexander (19-0, 12 KOs), Amir Khan (21-1, 15 KOs), Victor Ortiz (24-2-1, 19 KOs) and Marcos Maidana (27-1, 26 KOs).
Here is how I would like to see it set up:
Stage 1:
Ortiz vs Khan
Maidana vs Alexander
Stage 2:
Ortiz vs Maidana 2
Khan vs Alexander
Stage 3:
Alexander vs Ortiz
Maidana vs KhanComment

I've said before that the JWW division has the most makeable fights for a tournament similar to Showtime's SMW tourney. Lots of legit fighters that arent cry babies and ask for absurd amounts of money to fight each other like the welter's.
Khan
Bradley
Malignaggi
Urango
Alexander
Ortiz
Maidana
Peterson
8 guys. Lets go HBO!
Oh and screw Judah. He would be the reason something like this would fail completely.Last edited by ADozenArrows; 11-27-2009, 03:10 AM.Comment
