Homie, I hope so too. I am not really a fan of Kirkland, but truth be told I think you would be a little too green at the moment. Best of luck with your career.

90% of the punches Kirkland throws are wide power punches and he doesn't even have a powerful punch. Kirkland is just another Jeff Lacy.

exactly. look at 0:57 seconds. he throws all these power punches yet they seem not to effect Julio. honestly, any decent boxer could just out box him for an easy UD. I'm not hating, its just the way I see it. I have nothing against Kirkland.

I would have to favor Kirkland at the moment against you because he has looked impressive, brings a great deal of pressure, and was able to take some bombs against 1 dimensional but hard punching Julio.
I couldn't say for sure though because I would need to see more of you to make a better analysis, though you are more skilled and naturally talented from what i have seen.

Ellis never landed the same punch twice. so far shawn looks good as chin is considered but im not gonna say Ellis has Kirklands power.

But im telling you watch the Kirkland v. Conyers. Kirkland gets caught up in swinging and trying to keep the guy busy but at the same time he is leaving himself open. Shawn has the shorter reach and footwork and as soon as kirkland threw one of his crazy flurries Shawn could probably throw a left hook and land before kirkland could react.

there are way to many intangibles to judge this fight. On paper Kirkland wins but we all know that paper doesnt mean **** sometimes. so if anyones saying they are SURE it is nothing more than a guess.
i did watch that fight and Conyers did the Zab Judah dance all over that ring - cos he got ****y. I watched Porter vs Suarez or something (Some guy with 10-4 record) and Porter starched him with double left hook at the end of the 1st. I watched a few other AMs fights too, good stuff
His height is actually an advantage cos he can just duck under punches and land some hooks a la tyson, Kirklands not the kind of boxer who keeps you at the end of the jab, both them are come forward fighters, it would be a hell of a fight....I think Shawn said earlier he would just slip and counter, obviously he knows better than us, but a blind man could see the way Kirkland loads up and wings some of his punches that hes open for counters

Kirkland got a great kind of uppercut/hook punch though, would be a useful shot to use against a bob and weaver. I dunno, its a great fight, its all hypothetical though, i think Porter should be fighting the like of Andy Lee/ Brian Vera/Craig McEwan before stepping in with a beast like Kirkland

I pick Kirkland right now but if it went down 2 years from now i would pick Shawn.I think Shawn will be a better fighter but a fight against Kirkland right now would be to much to soon.Best of luck to you Shawn your only 22 theres no rush. Most athletes hit there physical peak around 25-26 so your right on track to do big things.
