Go and put your head in a bucket and tell that to yourself !

That is a very biased view. And isn't that kind of the position that Floyd is sitting on?

Arum is the rematch king. We should all keep in mind that you can write into a contract whatever you want, as long as it is legal. One side can give up some monet fr the right to have one of their important conditions met. in essence, you can pay for a unilateral clause.

I'm not sure if people usually write the rematch conditions into the original contract. For example, Taylor-Pavlik had their first fight at 160, and their second fight at 166. Not sure how (or if) that was written in. I would think that you would want to know "why" you lost to fix that condition in the contract.

Usually , the champion wants the rematch written in to his contract so he can try to get his belt back immediately if he loses. That makes sense (Bernard trying to get his belt back from Jermain). I don't know how important the belt is to Pac. I do know that Floyd doesn't care about the 147 belt.

This is Bob Arums way of getting an option on mayweathers next fight not pacquiao. Manny has done enough to fight on hbo ppv for the rest of his career. who wouldn't watch pacman fight? This will be a deal breaker trust me. Mayweather really doesn't want bob to make any money off of his name, but will do so to make the biggest fight in history. Remember , bob owes floyd money from the gatti, judah ppvs. If this is true, then the fight wont happen. I think a mutual agreement is fair. Bob wants that option because he knows pacquiao cant beat floyd. Arum wont get that clause approved.

This is the main reason I hate Arum he aint **** but a white Don King.
Agreed 100%, can't ****ing stand Arum. Plus he still owes Mayweather money from the Gatti.

Here is the more likely scenario, Shadey:

They know that Floyd can make an easy negotiation with Shane where Floyd (coming off the bonanza) would have Shane by the short-n-curlies to command an overwhelming percentage.

If Floyd beats Pac - say by MD - he can go to make buckets in a Mosley fight. And Schaefer has already espoused the position that Floyd deserves more. So Shane has no leverage.

If Pac beat Floyd, he would def want another payday. And as an Arum fighter, he is powerless to refuse it. He can't breach his promotional/managerial contract.
It sounds about right strategy wise...wants the right for a rematch but not the obligation...

I think a rematch will definitely happen, maybe not inmediately after, because of the money involved, it would also depend on the first fight itself...
