I'm talking on the number who bought on JMM and FMJ. Just an estimate for each fighter that would total to 1M ppv sales.
I have no idea, what do you think.

Floyd is controversial! FFS! His mouth gets him attention. 24/7 gets him publicity and attention.

Pacquiao is sensational to watch, that's why he is popular. Damn, this is clear as daylight to me.

Who do you think the casual fan would rather watch -- Hopkins or Pacquiao? And who is likely to sell more PPV because of it?

Boring movies sell less than thrillers.

Floyd is not as popular as he nor his fans think.
Youre funny come on man, has Marquez ever did any numbers remotely close to 1 million, even with Pacquiao, lol come on, with Floyd he did more than double what he did with Pacquaio and so many claimed they wanted to see that rematch. Im just talking facts guys, this is no hate on anybody, if it was Pac with the bigger numbers that would be fine and dandy with me, I just want to see them fight, but I cant stand by and be silent when his fans argue against facts, thats just not cool.

You have no facts to back your opinion up. It's quite clear Floyd is a bigger draw
Did you read everything I wrote? I said "now". That means if Floyd and Manny fought the same opponent right "NOW" Manny will sell more ppv than Floyd. Did I say the past fight? I think I didn't..

Before you say something better read all the previous post before commenting on something PrettyBoy22.

Thats debatable because they have fans of their own for whatever reason, but Id imagine the regular person would rather see Pac fight, but if thats the case why does he need a dance partner in order to get close to or over 1 million buys.

Here's a side by side comparison of Pacquiao and Mayweather before and after De la Hoya made them more famous.

Mayweather's Highest PPV before De la Hoya:

              Zab Judah - 374,000
              Arturo Gatti - 365,000
              Carlos Baldomir - 325,000

              TOTAL : 1,064,000

Pacquiao's Highest PPV Fights before De la Hoya:

Juan Manuel Marquez Rematch - 400,000
              Erik Morales 3rd Match - 360,000
Marco Antonio Barrera Rematch - 350,000

              TOTAL: 1,110,000

              .
Its funny how you left David Diaz PPV number out of this, it was before Oscar, oh I know why, because it makes your argument look bad.

                Jesus ****ing CHRIST!

Pacquiao is a superstar now! He was less of a star when he fought Marquez, even if it did break PPV records at the time, being the biggest PPV success in boxing history for a fight below WW.

You're comparing Pacquiao's status from THEN without factoring how huge he has become since fighting Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto.

Look at it. You didn't even give a rough estimate of it yet you say JMM didn't help in selling ppv. You said it was all Floyd..

In MGM who do you think people were rooting for during the JMM vs FMJ fight? I think I heard lots JMM fans out there than Floyds. Do you you agree?

I understand what youre saying, but I think we can agree he isnt as huge as Floyd here in the states.
