the TS is right, Floyd only counters with his right. Floyd works off his left hand most of the time. Lead left hooks to the body or head, and the jab to the body. although against Marquez he was jabbing to the head as well.

I think if Mayweather really get's on his bicycle against Pac, he can win, if he stands and fights like some of these buffoons think, he will get stopped shortly.

Mayweather is not big at all. Hatton pushed him around with ease, and Cotto would have done the same as well. Manny ended up being the stronger man in those fights. This basically throws the whole "Mayweather is to big" thing out the window. I'd bet my life Pacquiao weighs the same these days and is a much much stronger man.

I have watch the majority of Mayweather's old fights and I must say that Pacquiao can beat him. Here are the reasons:

        1. Mayweather's main arsenal is his left-hand - Pacquiao's last four fights were: southpaw (Diaz), converted southpaw (Oscar), pseudo-southpaw (left hand dominant Hatton), and left-hand jabber converted southpaw (Miguel Cotto). Manny Pacquiao who is born ambidextrous (adept in using both hands in his day-to-day activities), seems to be stronger when fighting left hand dominant fighters.

        2. Mayweather is a single punch counter-puncher - The only way to beat Pacquiao is with counter combos. Marquez threw combos when he fought Pacquiao. But even then you can see that Pacquiao is using feints, countering the counter-puncher. Pacquiao will get hit by Mayweather, but Manny's combo output will be more than Mayweather's single punch outputs.

        3. Mayweather tires his opponent - Mayweather being a defensive fighter leans back and fight backwards. Some of his opponent becomes tired of playing cat and mouse by mid-rounds. Pacquiao has a reputation of having freakish stamina reservoir and a great chin. Many will keep chasing for 12 rounds, taking Mayweather single punch outputs and punching back with more combos. Pacquiao is a throwback to an era where rounds are more than a dozen.

        4. Mayweather speed is defensive - Pacquiao is the fastest offensive boxer in the world. His combination of relentless hand speed, quick feet and tremendous ring generalship is unequalled. Don't expect Pacquiao's speed to diminish due to weight. Remember that since 2004, Pacquiao is used to entering the ring as essentially a welterweight (146 lbs. during his 1st Marquez fight).

        5. Mayweather is not physically big - Pacquiao took the punches of sturdier offensive fighters and wasn't knocked down. You have to remember that Pacquiao spars with middleweights, some of which he knocked down.

        6. Mayweather Shoulder Rolls - When on the defensive, Mayweather enters the Shoulder Roll mode. Pacquiao eye is so sharp that he sees opening in the tiniest movements. Pacquiao moves in and out, side to side, throwing trajectory angle power punches while moving at an unpredictable direction at an uncanny speed. Manny Pacquiao is not afraid to get hit, just to get his punches in. So while his opponent was throwing their punches, Pacquiao will simultaneously slip his combos.

        7. Mayweather is older at 32 years old - The Floyd Mayweather of 135 lbs. is not the same Mayweather of 147 lbs. You can count with your hands, how many combos he throws in a 12 round fight.

Pacquiao on the other hand, has improved a lot on the other hand since moving up from 135 lbs. Pacquiao is at the peak of his physical prime.
        1) nah, floyd is not left-hand dominant, his right cross is his best weapon

        2) agreed, floyd can get outworked

        3) agreed, floyd lets his opponents tire themselves out by hitting nothing but shoulders and elbows, but pac stamina is limitless

        4) nah, floyd is just as fast offensively as defensively

        5) agreed, pac beat up a 160 lbs cotto, he can beat a 160 lbs floyd

        6) agreed, the shoulder roll is useless against southpaws

        7) nah, age is not gonna effect floyd at all.

good observation, esp. the single hand counter

JMM counters Pac with a flurry while Floyd darts in with his right then move out

Sorry but your first point just made me laugh , how the **** could any TRUE BOXING FAN not know that Floyd is actually RIGHT HANDED? like you said Manny has been facing stationary LEFT HANDERS since JMM boxed his ears off, he just couldn't handle Juan's straight right counters, against Mayweather Pac will have to deal with things that he either hasn't seen in a year and a half (a straight right) or hasn't actually faced in his whole career (a slick boxer with MOVEMENT) , and when you couple those things with Floyd's defence, reach and height advantages then it becomes apparent that Manny's gonna have major problems to confront, age doesn't come into this either because Pac will be 31 very shortly, if anything it will be Floyd who is the fresher man after Pac's face and body took some heavy shots against Cotto.

He's right handed, but he uses his left hand most. Hatton is right handed too, but he uses his left hand a lot.

Erm NO Hatton isn't "right handed" HE'S ANOTHER CONVERTED left hander just like Cotto and Oscar was, you see the pattern? Floyd can do it either way really, if he needs his straight right then he'll use it, if he wants to stick to quick left hooks then that's what he'll do, and that's why Manny isn't gonna know what's hit him because Floyd can hit from any direction, watch the JMM vs Floyd fight again and you'll see that Floyd starts tagging Marquez with straight rights by around the 6th round, then he started to put one two combos together, see unlike Pac Floyd mixes up his attack, Pac is all about his straight left and right hook, and he throws them in bunches but when you're facing a defensive genius you're gonna need more than that imo.
