**** it. WAR CALZAGHE!
Wasn't even a fan of his until today (Still not). The guy put in the work and beat who he could. Definitely not the best of all time but he put in his time and effort and he deserves at least some form of respect for it.
With that said, Ward wins.Comment

So you agree he adjusted and beat Hopkins down the stretch, which was my only point...
Or how about against Kessler, watch the punches he gets hit with in the first four rounds, see how many times he gets hit with them after those first four. Adjustments.Comment

Beat him 'down the stretch' IE won the late part of the fight. The only person ever to do it against Hopkins.
I f---in hate videos like that by the way. Try and claim your a boxing fan and you base your argument on a video like that, smhComment

eubank and hopkins, sure.. but jones? really!?
there were at the very least 7-8 175lbers who were better than jones when he fought joe, imo there were about 15 of them.
beating roy jones meant nothing at that stage, zero. in fact it tarnishes his legacy that he got in the ring with roy in the first place not to mention failed to finish him off. the same thing applies to hopkins (for fighting roy).
i personally think hopkins clearly beat calzaghe which eliminates that win too. i dont see how anyone who knows how to score a fight can give it to joe tbh.
that leaves eubank and while its a good win i dont think its enough to carry an entire legacy on which is what calzaghe is doing imo, kessler not being all that good a fighter and lacy being utter garbage.
ward UD12
I don't even count his W over Eubank as a great win. Eubank was past his prime, hadn't fought at 168 in 2 years previously fighting at 177 twice. Not only that but Eubank took the fight on around 10 days notice and was over 10+lbs overweight just 1 week before the fight.Comment

This is true and it's been proven beyond any shred of doubt. I haven't seen this particular video yet but I have seen the full breakdown of scoring punches that somebody else did back in 2008 on a different forum. I managed to find it. I'll copy and paste the numbers below. If anyone wants me to post the full round by round analysis say the word..
Below you will find a comprehensive punch-by-punch accounting of the fight that took place between Bernard Hopkins and Joe Calzaghe earlier this year. These are the scoring punches. Here are some interesting aspects of what was found:
- Calzaghe's best punch was the right hook to the head. He landed this punch to good effect at different points throughout the fight. His single best right hook came with 13 seconds remaining in the 3rd round. It was a very hard, fast, crashing shot. See if you can catch it. You'll need to watch at 1/8th or 1/16th speed.
- Calzaghe has been accused with great regularity of "landing no punches" in this fight. Not true. He landed over 50 scoring shots. Now, granted most of these scoring punches had almost nothing on them. They were extremely light shots designed to make contact with the target, but were impressive in a way. Calzaghe showed great focus and determination in his body language and face as he touched Hopkins up with alot of these. When you slow it down you can see the boxer, and not the wild man that most fans went away believing they had witnessed.
- Hopkins outscored Calzaghe by a fairly wide margin in terms of rounds, as well as total tally for all individual scoring punches landed overall. Hopkins of course also landed the significantly harder punches, so there were quite a few instances where they were exchanging and Calzaghe would land a glancing shot, and Hopkins would land and knock Calzaghe backward, redden his face with shock, and/or double him over from the force of his punches.
