The last time John Ruiz saw action in London, he was training with Lennox Lewis in 1994. Ruiz was heklping Lewis prepare for his first bout with Oliver McCall. Things did not go as planned and Lewis was upset by McCall in two rounds. Now Ruiz is the mandatory challenger to WBA champion David Haye. Their fight is expected in London during the first quarter in 2010. [details]

this article makes me laugh due to the fact Ruiz isnt as active as the 7'2'' fighter he speaks about and he is saying the more active hayes is not that is beyond me? If Haye fights Ruiz, Ruiz holds and trys to do his best to avoid anything Haye can throw which lost him the match against Valuev. You can be a good fighter but if you dont fight your not too much!Comment

Ruiz is nothing compared to the younger much stronger Haye, roadwork means nothing if all you strive for in the gym is the best. I was a boxer for 5 years and only lost 1 time in a jab fest against an opponent I KO'd the next week in 1:56 of the first round. After 42 fights and never once doing road work I think I could have easily won another 41fights without it.Comment

haye should win but he could leave himself open if he starts getting frustrated with ruiz.ruiz is an expert at slowing fights down & getting his opponent off their game plan.I got it 70% chance for haye.there is the speed factor in Hayes favor as well.ruiz cannot be counted out.Comment
