Although fault could be with Hopkins more than Calzaghe for never facing each other in their primes, I will agree with you that Hopkins was further past his prime than Calzaghe...and put up a close fight.
Joe moving up isn't that big of a deal because it would be his fight-time weight that would matter. Plus, wasn't he talking about how difficult it was for him to make weight towards the end?
