Nope, but Cotto had to get there, and getting there is a *****. It weakens you to a point you can't recover from in 24 hours. Get your body fat down to the 2% range and it becomes evident how much difference 1 pound really is. Cotto agreed to the terms of a GIANT payday and has nothing to complain about, but that doesn't mean his abilities wern't diminished, which was the plan. Quoth the Roach "If Cotto weighs one ounce over 145 I will pull Manny out".
Cotto was pretty confident about his shape... and confident he will win. Until both fighters were in the ring. Was everything in the fight really about the catchweight? C'mon man. After the fight, Cotto, the nice guy that he is, didn't have any excuses. Why not give Pac a little credit for the win?
