Nothing wrong with this thread since Black Americans are not a race but a group of people. There are Pinoy, Mexican and Rican appreciation threads yet Black American cannot have one. Black Americans have done much for this sport time and time again. From Jack Johnson to Andre Ward.

Black Americans have developed their own slick style which can be very hard for straight forward robotic fighters to beat

My favourite fighters are Mayweather,Williams,Ward,Whitaker and Hearns

I agree 100%.If Paul Williams was another race he would have already been a star.Same as Mosley.Pavlik became a star overnight knocking out bums.

You act like other fighters of other races don`t try to discredit black fighters.When a fighter sticks and move he`s called a runner and a coward.But when a fighter of another race does it he called a good boxer and every body praises him to high heaven.Example: Kessler vs andrade,Pac vs Oscar, Pac vs Diaz,Calzage vs Lacy and many others.

WOW...This is a much needed thread

Long time overdue. There are so few of them now and throughout history that sometimes we can forget how good some are from this minority group. WOW.

We need to make a "Black-American Basketball Player" appreciation thread as well....as well as a "Black-American Football" thread...as well as any other sport they have crowded the list of ATG status when the enter/allowed to participate.




Seriously, leave appreciation threads to people that need it or is this another attempt to dominate in something else?

Hahaha I have no problem at all with an appreciation thread...but don't go acting like they get no respect as great fighters or something. Some of the most revered fighters in history are black are you kidding me man...SRR, SRL, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Joe Louis, Hagler, Whitaker, RJJ, Jack Johsnon, etc. etc. the list goes on forever.
If you ask people what boxer they identify boxing with most likely they will say Ali or Tyson.

How are they ****ted on haha? Just because a lot of people don't like Floyd. Not only is someone like Ali one of the most revered boxers, but figures in history in general. People might talk crap on here but are you really gunna take everyone on here seriously?
