WBO bantamweight champion Marvin Sonsona (14-0, 12KOs) vacated his title after not being able to make weight for his bout with Alejandro ’Payasito’ Hernandez (22-7-1, 11 KOs), scheduled to take place at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada. his camp made the right decision. no use draining him just to make weight.
5'9"? that's a JW-WW potential right there. -
Unprofessional move by Sonsona. The fact he came in over two pounds over makes me think that he didn't even try to make the weight. I won't pass judgement on him though until I see him in the next division. But making weight is a part of an obligation as a pro boxer and I'm tired of boxers not living up to that obligation. Especially when training and nutrition is better today than when the old timers fought.Comment

They should move him first to bantamweight, not super bantamweightComment

"The 19-year-old is growing fast. He is listed at 5'7 but his handlers tell me Sonsona has grown by two-inches in the last year and now stands at 5'9."
The kid is growing(literally)...You can't blame him for growing now can you?...I think it's about time he moves up in weight class....Comment
