I was at jones calzaghe live not gonna lie it broke my heart but Roy is 40...we shall see if pacman is almost selling out msg when he is that old...o wait he is gonna be in politics...

Roy lost when he was old and proved he had more heart and determination then we ever thought he had by comming back time and time again too get back into the ring...i love it...he was great to watch when he won and great to watch when he lost...he was willing too die that night vs calzaghe (I was sitting in 500 dollar seats I would know)....I just think before we re- write the history books we need to understand that the guys pac fought were farrrrrrrrrrrrr over the hill...roy is taking on b-hop who is on the all the p4p lists so wht you say about that? when bhop loses 12ud then wht will we say?

Bhop has a better resume than floyd but raw talent and ability to dominate his opponents over his career in his divisions goes to floyd.

I do feel Pac has pushed himself a little harder than Roy did tho. Its just that Roy was so good nobody has any idea how great he really was. Imagine Roys legacy if he had moved up to HW and beaten either Evander or Tyson. I dont know that he could have, but his legacy would be a lot better if he had.

I still dont think so. Hopkins and Jones are roughly the same size, but the people on Roys resume beat up the smaller fighters on Hopkins.

Good post. In his prime Roy showed unbeliveable skill and dominance. After his prime he has shown us heart, determination and love for the game. He is a true entertainer and he also tries to evolve the way boxing works by acting as his own promoter setting up a fight with Calzaghe who also was his own promoter. Apart from that he brought in to reality the idea of a purse split based on the outcome of the fight, something i think might do much good for the sport. Roy Jones has done much good for boxing and when he retires he will be truly missed.
