that fritz german trainer is a moron.he ruined wlad & told him to retire after brewster loss.Emmanuel steward picked up humpty dumpty.vitali would be even better getting rid of that moron.atlas should train the klits! Both the klits & atlas give 110% in what they do.atlas is way better than fritz.both fritz & teddy have 1 heavyweight champ each on their resume but atlas guided moorer over prime Holyfield & vitali beat fat peter.

No boxer has ever meshed with Atlas. They all ended up having problems with him: Grant, LaLonde, Moorer, Briggs, etc.

It's because Atlas is mentally unstable - he once took a gun to Donny LaLonde's apartment with the intentions of murdering him.

"Teddy waited through the night, waited for Lalonde to return, phoning the apartment periodically. When he finally got through, Lalonde’s girlfriend picked up. Atlas asked if Donny was there, and when the answer came back yes, he hung up and started making his way over to the apartment, still intent to finish the job he came to do"

Because he "knows boxing" mostly withis big mouth. You have to remember that he got his training "expertise" when he was an unpaid, amateur assistant bucket carrier in Cus D'Amato's gym. He didn't train Tyson, as the popular belief goes, but he was there, and Tyson was, I think, a 15 year old kid.

D'Amato fired Teddy because he threatened Tyson with a pistol, because of Tyson's unwelcome interest in Teddy's niece.

Personally I think that his training level is about as good as his prognosticating level.........

Eastern Euro fighters benefit immensely when they go with American trainers. See what Emmanuel Steward has done with Wladimir Klitschko.

Grant, Moorer and Briggs all had problems no one could fix though. Grant just never had the mentality for boxing. Moorer didn't have a great mentality, along with a very average chin, and Briggs has always had problems he has never beaten. Some people can only do so much.

I think McGirt is worse! But Povetkin and Atlas could fit together, Atlas could be just the right trainer for a Povetkin.
