According to the guys at HBO, last Saturday's Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto pay-per-view generated 1.25 million buys; beating out the buyrate of September's Floyd Mayweather-Juan Manuel Marquez pay-per-view, which generated a million buys. Mayweather's team had anticipated that Pacquiao-Cotto would do a higher number. Mayweather stated on Monday that Pacquiao would like do a higher number because he had a "dance partner" in Cotto. add to that the fact that pac/cotto was priced higher than floyd/jmm and pac/cotto sold out and they didn't have to hand out any free tickets, plus pac/cotto didn't fall on a holiday, nor did pac/cotto have 6 months of promotion... adding all this up, means floyd will have to bow down to 50/50 or even 55/45 in favor of pac.
