        He had something to prove to himself, IMO. He needed to finish on his feet. If it was something he needed for his personal pride, I think it was the right decision.

            Looking at it logically, yes it was a bad move.

            However, he never would have lived down quitting again, I think he knew that.

                    personally i dont think it was SUCH a domination like lot are suggesting..Cotto was moving around NONstop throughout the fight and avoiding the engage..its not like he was standing there like diaz hoya and hatton when they fought pacquiao..u can say it wasnt neccessary but its not like he was getting absolutely wrecked round after round u know..he got beat and convincingly, but it wasnt murder..
