I mean, that's Boxing man. He wasn't totally off his feet, but the fight was stopped in time. I don't think he's going to be punch drunk. Sugar Ray Leonard throughout his career has taken more punishment than Cotto (Duran 1 and Hearns fights alone) and he's fine.

Not everybody boxer who toughs it out for a few rounds isn't going to sound like Frazier, Hearns, and Ali who took insane beatings. I think Cotto will be ok.

It obviously ain't help him physically. But he couldn't stand to check out, so he went on. Mighta helped mentally, even if it was just a lil bit.

The fight should've been stopped in Round 10 atleast.

There's was nothing in his punches, he was fighting to survive rather than engage and get knocked out. Manny could step up the pace whenever he wanted. Should have stopped the fight in the 9th.

AFter watching it numerous times I had Cotto wining some of the later rounds, round 11 for example was all Cotto even though it was stoped in the 12th.

Just because he fought on the back foot people didnt like it, well they better get used to it because thats all floyds gonna do

It was like watching Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ, sickening and unnecessary.

His face afterwards was unrecognizable. It should have been Cotto's corner making the decision to stop it, not Cotto. Santiago should've manned up and grown a pair. He was more worried about not pissing off his boss and being a yes man instead of doing the right thing.

i think it was.. especially on the forum. people keep calling him a quitter and a runner, and he didnt even take a step forward in the later rounds. and no, he didnt win the 11 round IMO.

Also, of course it was unnecessary to take 3 more rounds of punishment than he had to.. thats lik 60-70 punches!

(Props to both fighter anyways, loved the fight )

If it was Floyd in there at that time and getting those punishments, yes i will agree with you. He should be put into permanent retirement he's a disgrace in the sport of boxing.

Unfortunately it's Cotto, it's only right it was stopped but it should been stopped earlier i don't want him to get damaged as i still want to see him fight in the ring.
