Shane would make the most money in his career and wouldn't have to fight at a catchweight to make it come off. Wasn't Roach saying that Shane Mosley, 38, would have to come in at 144 in order for the fight to come off just a while ago and now he's trying to have Mayweather fight at 145. Money would be just as good without a catchweight. Plus, it just an easy fight to make and has probably been discussed since the Marquez fight when Shane and Benard called Floyd out in the ring. This is a chess, not checker. That stunt was a great move when you think about it.
The general point is all three have options and as far as Mosley is concerned, he will still make a lot of money regardless of whomever he fights be it Pac or Mayweather, Mosley wants a lot of money yes but he also a great competitor and constantly wants to prove himself, money is not his sole motivation.

Isn't it hilarious how Mayweather Jr wanted nothing to do with Mosley, but all of a sudden Mayweather Jr wants Mosley over Pacquiao? I hope if Mayweather ducks Pacquiao, that Mosley tells Mayweather to **** off and Mosley chooses Pacquiao instead. I hope Mosley remembers when Fraud ducked him.

Even though he says all this **** about how legacy doesnt matter, when there is someone who is being built up to be the "one" to beat him, he does fight them. Contrary to popular opinion. He just waits to maximize their poential purse value before he actively engages them.
It seemed pretty obvious to me that Mayweather came back for a megabout with Pacquiao. Choosing Marquez as a comeback opponent, a guy who twice gave Pacquiao hell, to one-up Manny (after Pacquiao took care of DLH and Hatton in much more dominating fashion than Mayweather did). To also out-do the PPV sales of when Pacquiao fought Marquez, to gain more negotiating leverage in addition to the better numbers he did in those other two bouts.

Mayweather's not gonna say publicly "I'm waiting to see if Pacquiao beats Cotto", his ego is too big and he'll say everyone should wait to see what he does, not vice versa. So he said the same thing he criticizes others for, deferring to his management. I always figured the order went Pacquiao, Mosley, and then Cotto of whom he was looking to fight. He doesn't have to deal with Arum if he fights Mosley, but for a Pacquiao fight, Arum and Mayweather probably figure it's worth it to deal with each other since there's so much money at stake.

Lol I'm kind of hoping for that too, what "dancer parter" would Ellerbe and Money have then?

Nothing in the article said that he wants Mos OVER Pac. You are reading into the article and putting your own spin on it. I mean the title can not get ANY clearer. IF he canT get Pac, he will fight Mos. Its pretty simple and it has ZERO to do with ducking. He wants Pac and you guys say that he doesnt deserve Pac. Now he says he wants Mos IF that fight doesnt fall thru now he is ducking Pac.

Which one is it? Yall should make yall mind up. For real.

Yes he could. But remember, Richard Shaffer is actually a part of Mayweather's negotiation team during the Mayweather/Pac discussions. The treat of a Mosley/Mayweather fight strengthens his position at the bargaining table. Goldenboy is about making money. Mayweathers best interest is their best interest, not Arums/TR. At this point, Mosley/Mayweather does 1.2-1.5 ppv's without any Arum/Top rank pot split. Hell, with Al haymons involvement with Al Berto, don't surprised if Berto gets paid step aside money.

He will be even more famous and Pacquiao will be #3 ATG ahead of Henry Armstrong.

Freddie Roach had already mentioned this possibility.
just because you take belts from weak fighters does not make u pass people on all time great list. David Diaz was an absolute joke a champ flyweight belts werent heavily contested either. Before u throw out the hating flag just understand armstrong had defenses, armstrong did this over more than a 2 yr stretch, its amazing that pac is doing this but being a champion is about more than holding a belt for a fight or two its about defending yo ish being a force at your division. Pac has to have staying power to rise up atg list. He is one of the best of our age but yuri foreman aint gonna add **** to his legacy but numbers

It's looking better and better for Pacquiao, Pacfans, and Mayweather haters. If Mayweather doesn't agree with Pacquiao's demands, he will have to fight Mosley. I see brother Nazeem and Mosley cooking up something good for that one. Floyd Sr. suspect Pacquiao is on the juice, I wonder what he's going to think when Mosley fights Mayweather hehehe. Pacquiao can fight Marquez for a third time and that probably won't do better than Maywether vs Marquez's 1 millon buys but it will do decent enough that the 70 percent and above purse Pacquiao gets from that fight. From my perspective Pacquiao is a better fighter every previous fight he was in and a lot better fighter from when he last faced Marquez, while Marquez has lost something moving up in weight, especially if the fight will be at a catch weight for a defence of Pacquiao's WW belt. Even at a catch weight of 141 lbs.

Another fight for Mayweather, if he doesn't fight Pacquiao, is a make money fight with Hatton in the UK. Hatton will request for a different referee other than Joe Cortez and 50 percent in his backyard. The British people will buy that fight somehow.

May be a Mayweather vs. De La Hoya II. Definately not gonna do better than the first one but may be good enough for a payday. I could see Golden Boy and Ellebre cooking something up with that and the American general public duped to buy it.

May be its just me but I really think its a lose lose situation for Mayweather if he doesn't fight Pacquiao or if he settles with Pacquiao's terms.
