what puzzles me is the idea that mayweather at no point "wants to fight shane mosley" thats total bull. One thing i can honestly say about mayweather is that given the time, he does give you the fights you ask for. When the pressure gets put on him eventually he makes the fights people want to see. Even though he says all this **** about how legacy doesnt matter, when there is someone who is being built up to be the "one" to beat him, he does fight them. Contrary to popular opinion. He just waits to maximize their poential purse value before he actively engages them.

Mayweather vs Mosley is an in-house fight, meaning more money for Goldenboy promotions/Mayweather promotions/Shane Mosley. It is in Goldenboy promotions best interest to pull off Mayweather/Mosley and it would be less of a hassle. Shane would make the most money in his career and wouldn't have to fight at a catchweight to make it come off. Wasn't Roach saying that Shane Mosley, 38, would have to come in at 144 in order for the fight to come off just a while ago and now he's trying to have Mayweather fight at 145. Money would be just as good without a catchweight. Plus, it just an easy fight to make and has probably been discussed since the Marquez fight when Shane and Benard called Floyd out in the ring. This is a chess, not checker. That stunt was a great move when you think about it.

they held the fight on the weekend of the mexican independence day.

the crowd for the most part except for the hip-hop/rap people ringside was also mexican.
