Manny Pacquiao at 140 and up is a different beast than he was at 130 or below. He would dominate that fight more than he dominated Cotto because Marquez punches will have no effect on Manny and he knows it. It will be more for the Mexican sweep of Morales, Barrera, and then a brutal KO of Marquez. I would put the house on Marquez getting knocked out though he was never been KO'd. It would fill most of Texas Stadium and do decent numbers but it would be a stay busy fight before Mayweather. Pacquiao is not going below 140 for this fight, and probably not even below 144. The only good news is that it could open up a Cotto-Hatton fight at the Garden for the summer. Loser go home.

Sadly, situations have changed drastically in Pac's favor for this match-up. JMM would get brutalized. He should go for the Fatman mega money in the UK where he'd have a better chance of ending his career on a high note.

as much as I want to see these guys go at it for the last time, sadly I dont see the fight happenin'... pac can't look back now 'cause all the welts are waitin'... critiques will burn PAC to death if he choose to fight JMM instead of floyd or mosley next year...

Burner, Marquez is a gladiator who has fought Pac and on even terms twice. Even better than even terms if you are to discount the knockdowns. You need to shut the **** up about Marquez. What are doing anyway sucking Pac's ****? He is a fighter just any other fighter and has the right to get his name called out. Plus he is a ***** for fighting weight-drained boxers and always trying to get an advantage. I want to know of any good to great boxer that asked for so many dam advantages!!

It's just pathetic and disrespectful of the opponents. I can see if it was a pscyhological advantage; but an advantage that takes away the opponent's strength while leaving them vulnerable is not an honorable thing for an elite champion to be respected for. All the other great boxers never asked nor do they get an advantage that would leave an opponent almost defenseless and dried out!!!! Nuff said about Manny and how I feel about him. STEROIDS= advantage. WEIGHT-DRAINED OPPONENTS= advantage. Too many su****ious things going on around this short, pigtail looking guy for me to respect him... Fight Mayweather, Mosley or whoever at the weight limit without special concessions and beat them; then I will be impressed..

If it's at 135, JMM might have a chance...slim but still...

the fight will be at 147(145 based on roach's statements)....There's no way in hell will JMM beat Manny at WW....

Marquez would fight Manny at what ever weight they wanted. That is how desperate he is to get in the ring with him again.

I agree with most saying that he would have virtually no chance at beating him at 145.

Marquez just doesn't have any speed at WW compared to Pacquiao. I know Marquez wants the big pay fights, but a fight with Katsidis at 135lb is much more appealing then some imaginary 140lb fight with Fatton. Can Fatton even lose 80lbs to get to 140 that quick?

                      Drainage influences fights

Marquez is not in a position to make demands, but it would be a great fight if Pacman came back down to 135lbs to fight for the Marquez's lineal lightweight title, then drink some gatorade and get back on the scales so they can also fight for Pacman's lineal 140lb title. Roach won't let that happen cause it would drain Pacman like Cotto was in the Pac fight.
