My thought is that that rep powers are represents credibility. obviously, if you have red rep, 1 would assume that you're a bad poster hence the red karma. Actually its a good barometer to judge poster based on it. I think its a good system.

I agree, but since some have 21,000+ points by cheating it and others have almost nothing, it's totally out of balance. It's like giving one guy a Ferrari and another other guy a skateboard, then making them to have a race!

Either the 21K guys should have their rep knocked down to the same level as those who joined after the system was changed (and trust me, they would cry for weeks!) or disable it altogether. I'd prefer the former option, personally, but I don';t see it happening.

You can only give yourself a bad name.... while it's true you can judge a person by who they surround themselves with to an extent, I can't say other fans of a boxer who is my favorite give me a bad name. It's a person's conduct that should do that, and I know damn well my conduct has been unimpeachable. Until I insult or disrespect people for no reason, who I hang with is irrelevant to my posts and what I have to say.
