Mayweather-Pacquiao might be fair at any weight from 140-147 .. but why does it have to be at the special 145 catchweight?

Yea, against Hatton, but why make Marquez fight at 145 when he saw how bad he looked at 144, Manny can make 140 and is also a champ at 140, so why try to make Manny have all the advantages instead of being fair? How is my argument baseless? When its known fact that Marquez gave Manny hell in both of their fights, its obvious Roach wants everything to be in Manny's favor so the fight won't be as close.

It's baseless in the sense that you think Roach not confident of Pacquiao at 140 but as I have said Pacquiao is the man right now whoever wants to fight him must agree with his conditions...Manny's accomplishments too far way ahead of Marquez and if he feels he could mix his skills w/ Manny then accept whatever Manny's camp put on the table anyway they're both came at same weight class...If Marquez can't do it in 145 then it's plain & simple, he's not on the level of Manny then stop crying as if your like babies crying for milk...

It was obvious Marquez can not compete at WW, but I know he will gladly accept it because he is not a ***** like Roach and (maybe) Manny (very ****** on his part), you Pac fans are starting to sound like Floyd fans crying because people say the truth and sometimes it hurts, I know Manny is the man right now, but he already has youth, speed and power over Marquez, his skill alone is what allowed him to compete with Manny, now Manny wants to add weight to his advantage, sounds like a Floyd move (in your terms ***** move), why does Roach want to make it an easier fight for Manny, because both fights were extremely close and Manny could have lost both, besides Manny himself said he will fight ANYONE from 140-147...so why not make it at 140? Pac by first or second round KO. Marquez is shot and fighting at 145 would get him killed. He's still good enough to beat B and C level guys like Diaz and Hatton, but Pacquiao is out of his league now. Marquez left it all in the ring during their second fight.

People tell the truth and Pac stans call you a hater, the same with Floyd fans, I give Manny credit for the Cotto fight, but he could have easily have fought Shane at 140 which is 3 lbs lower then what Freddie wanted against Shane, but for some odd reason Freddie choose Cotto.

If the other fighter agrees and signs, then its up to them.



The reason they can do things like this is because they feel like they have more leverage, and that their opponent needs the fight more than they do.


Its business. At the end of the day, money makes the world go around, and people will give up a few times for a mega payday.

No one is holding these fighters hostage and putting a gun to their heads and making them sign.
