honestly I have used the word bum a few times. Or should I say misused it the only fighters I consider bums are the ones who have the talents but waste it. Guys like Judah....Fighters even though they are not as skilled (Gatti, Ward) but give it their heart each and every time out there should not be called bums. It is the fact that a fighter cannot be scared or he would not get into the ring so to call them cowards is ridiculous. Honestly most fighters don't duck other fighters because they are scared of getting beat up or losing it is because it is that they took risk to get to where they are and if they can make good purses off fighting lesser competition why not? As much as I hate to see fighters who deserve shots getting pushed aside for the almighty buck you cannot dispute that most people don't like easy money right? It is the fact that the sport as a whole is suffering from the cherry picking likes in boxing today. The casual fan who has no knowledge of the sweet science but can push the little blue button on his cable remote to order PPV is screwing things up. Calling a fighter a bum is often unwarranted but I don't see too many cowards in boxing....Lefty
