i agree that he needs a new trainer but

not felix sr. He couldn't teach trini new tricks when his power didnt overwhelm opponents. Like someone said here, he needs to relearn some basics and learn new ways to fight. He's too predictable and can't fight at an elite level unless he's taught different techniques etc. I would say go and persue Bernard Hopkins trainer.mosley does not win the Margarito fight without him. Would be interesting to add a new dimension to Cottos style, a little slickness, perhaps a little holding just to annoy his apponents and lord does he need to train on defense. His power will still be there as well as his body attack and this would just I think give him more weapons to do battle with.

He needs a new trainer. A trainer that is not his friend or some1 he can BOSS around. He needs some1 like EMANUEL STEWART or MABE even Trinidad Sr. perhaps. Trinidad was a GOOD pressure trainer who taught timing, pressure, and effective movement. He knew how to cut off the ring and he should be in the running because he trained the hardest 2-fisted puncher/fighter of this time.

Cotto needs someone like Ken Adams, he needs a really exprienced trainer...he could have beaten Manny with a different corner even with his old corner with Evangelista.

Papa Trinidad makes good points. Boxing fans love calling Cotto and other fighters "warriors" but that refuse to quit mentality has destroyes his career, he cant recover from these multiple beatings.
