Not sure if it affected Pac much, but it sure affected Cotto I got to admit. Another beating like that and dude will become an organ donor and not much gonna be donated.

They were hard blows to be sure but it wasn't for that long and Cotto wasn't constantly pounding him even in the earlier rounds. I hope this isn't used as an excuse IF Floyd beats Pac

I don't agree with that. I'd say he probably got even more damage with the fight against Cotto. JMM didn't land the body punches on Pac that Cotto did. And body punches take something out of a fighter often times. And the fact that Snootz mentioned that this may be used as an excuse if Floyd beats Pac is something that Floyd has brought on himself by not fighting top fighters his own size. Would Cotto hit Floyd like he hit Pacquiao? Probably not, but still.

It may have. Cotto gave him one of worst beating of his career - shattered eardrum, swollen face, busted hands. On the other hand, the fight may also have given Pacquiao a tremendous boost in confidence.

why do so many people SPECULATE and come up with these type of conclusions and from what? i am not sure if anyone on here has ever been in a fight. or loses in any sport.

you live and you learn. you may not be the same in some aspects but to make them out to say one loss or two losses in a carrer means they are absolute ****.

you boxing scene folks that do this type of logic are beyond me.

Pac got hurt. he's in the sport of boxing. **** can't phase him to say he's not the same? if anything i believe he knows he can take a shot of cotto's caliber and move forward at full force.

that's why for those who believe in mayweather. i don't think mayweather will be enough to hurt pac at all. he will break both his hands and quit before PAC finishes him off.
