Hah, yeah right. Are you serious? You have to be borderline hardcore Manny fan to even ponder at that thought. There was no way Manny could have come out of a fight with Cotto uninjured, whether he wanted it or not. Saying Pacquiao got hit by Cotto because he wanted to is ridiculous.Comment

Did Cotto land anything apart from when Pacquiao stood infront of him telling him to hit him? No he didn't. Pac wanted to go toe to toe and he did and kicked Cottos ass doing it, but if he wanted to he could have fought like he did against DLH and put a beating on Cotto without getting hit himself. It don't matter what gameplan Cotto has Cotto would lose 10/10 times against Pac, he's just in a completely different league.possibly one of the dumbest things ive heard.
edit: no disrespect to pacquiao, he was the better fighter. Pacquiao did test his power early on, and he himself said that cotto was strong and he acted like his punches didnt hurt, i.e. they hurt. Pacquiao did NOT want to get hit by Cotto. Quite a few punches flattened mannys mug. If Cotto would have done more boxing, and less brawling, the fight would have been alot closer. But that falls onto gameplanning, which was poor at best. It was definitely a winnable fight for Cotto.Comment

Why did he stand infront of Cotto telling Cotto to hit him? He could have moved if he wanted to but chose not to, he wanted to prove that he could take Cottos punches.Hah, yeah right. PACMAN Take some of the beating because he choose to test Miguel's power and his left ear paid for it. Cotto took the worst beating, it must have been a nightmare having a flash back ala Magachetto but this time without a plaster.Comment

Pacquiao shut me the F up. He did a lot more than what I expected. Those shots Cotto hit him with did effect Pac but Pac showed what a stud he is. You can tell after the post fight interview with Merchant that even though he was in good spirits and smiling, he was hurting. I think the reason he wasn't clear on his answer about fighting Mayweather was because fighting was the last thing on his mind at that moment. Give him a little time off to get his body back in healthy form and I think you'll hear him open up a lot more about Mayweather. I know people are almost sure he will beat Mayweather but I think Mayweather will be a lot more difficult than what people think. I can't call it though.Comment

I agree bro. I don't think Pac let Cotto hit him with those flush shots he got off. There were points in the fight where Pac stood in front of Pac because pack saw the Cotto was tired and beat down. But early Cotto was catching Pac with good shots because Pac chose to fight a more agressive fight, not because he wanted to get hit. Nobody in boxing want to get hit. Blows from a top notch fighters hurt. Big ups to Pac for giving us our money's worth.Of all the boxers Pac has faced or may be fighting later on, i can definitely say Cotto's got the meanest punch. Even before i placed my bet i was doubting already if Pac can absorb it i was hoping/praying doesn't get hit he might not take it but he did.
That Pac's exhibition of taking Cotto's punches was really ****** too as one poster said.Comment
