I was amazed by pacquiaos chin. I never thought he would be able to handle the cotto power, but he proved me wrong. Theres not many harder hitting welterweights than cotto.Comment

not only by his chin, but by his mental strength. he ate those punches and punched back immediately, just like margo did (minus the plaster)
that lil guy is something else. he destroyed cotto both physically AND mentallyComment

yeah, he did that when he got cornered and got his body ******, not when cotto hit his face and ear
that was part of his strategy to break cotto's spirit and it worked, but cotto hit him in the face a couple of times during exchanges, hence pac's light bruises in the face and ****ed up earLast edited by fdotorres; 11-17-2009, 11:32 AM.Comment

One thing that Cotto did more than JMM, especially early in the fight though was land a lot more body punches. As big of a Cotto detractor as I am, the dude is a sick body puncher when he decides to apply it. Body punching is something that JMM should've kept doing when he had Pacquiao cut in the eight round and trying to re-gain all of his marbles. JMM had success to Pacquiao's body, but then he stopped using it.Comment

dangerous indeed, but brilliant. that **** broke down cotto mentally. he had pac cornered and tried to **** him, just to see himself down on the floor for the 2nd time, and hurt badly
from that point on, he was on survival mode until the fight's stopaggeComment
