Mayweather KOing Hatton when Hatton challenged him for his WW Title (because Mayweather was THE WW Champ) and was undefeated means nothing...

Pac beating Hatton 2 years after Mayweather Cements Legacy?

        According to PBF himself:
Pac is not in his league.
        Pac is one dimensional.
        Pac been KO'd twice.
        Pac lost to JMM twice.
Pac's wins over Oscar and Ricky weren't quality.
Basically Pac's greatness is a lie.

        According to PBF's stans:
        Pac isn't really p4p #1.
        Pac cherrypicks.
Pac only fights weight drained fighters.
Pac only fights past prime fighters.
        Pac isn't a draw.
Pac is tailor made for PBF.

Why should he get credit for beating him?

With that being said, if Mayweather beats Pacquiao would that seal Mayweather's legacy?

No one said that lineal means the best. It means the man who beats the man who beats the man... It's something like a one champion title thing that makes it special. One thing's for sure though, most of the times Lineal > Alphabet.
ok if you don't fight the best how can you be conisdered great

because when pac lost to erik morales erik was not a champion nor was he considered capable of winning a title against top comp.

after erik beat pac he had to move to 135 because he couldn't make 130 comfortably, and in his first fight at 135 did erik challenge the best 135lber in juan diaz at the time or did he opt for a fight with zahir rahem who outboxed and embarrassed him.

once erik lost pac came calling for a fight at 130 a weight they knew erik had trouble making and how did pac's people know this well they were both promoted by bob arum and bob had the inside scoop to give pac's team on erik's trouble making weight.

why would pac fight erik at 130 and not 135

4 lineals, 7 divisional titles. Is that the legacy you're talking about? Then it would have to be with his last fight, Cotto.

4 lineals, 7 divisional titles. In 50 or 100 years, that's all people will remember. It's done. Even a lose to PBF can't erase those records. It's already done.

Ricky Hatton and Paulie Malignaggi were the clear #1 and 2 at 140. Tim Bradley didnt even become a world champion until after the Hatton/Malignaggi fight was announced.

Nate Campbell also didnt become a world champion until after Pac/Diaz was announced. And Casamayor was the best at 135. Not Campbell.
