People also forget about some of Floyd's early wins.

Defeating Genaro Hernandez at age 21 for example, that was a fantastic win for such a young fighter.

    Very under-rated performance.

Its an irrevocable fact to me that no matter who Floyd beats, it will be downplayed, and the fighters left over will be propped up as guys that he's ducked, or afraid of.

Until he beats THEM that is.

      Then the cycle repeats.

      Just pointing out the facts.

      You are slow.

Floyd has never faced any of the best welterweights.

      The other welters have,

no go cry in a corner somewhere because the rest of the world doesn't view Baldomir and Judah as worthy victories in a division stacked with much better fighters.

I disagree. Pac already deserves that accolade imo.

People don't forget about 130 and 135 because thats when Floyd was doing it.

          But the thing is,

its November 2009 now, not 2003, or even 1998.

What he did then has no bearing on what is going on now.

but I give credit to Floyd for the Hatton win, the DLH win, and the Judah win.
And Baldomir has a chin of cast iron... I never really expected a great fight there.

southpaw Mitchell was Floyd's tune up for Judah at ww just like Bald was Judah's ppv draw tune up for Floyd...they were trying to build buzz (as a side note Bruselle, a countryman and former sparring partner of Cotto, was supposed to be a leadup for a Cotto fight, Cotto even picked Brusselle to beat Floyd)

The JMM fight stated his case as the unofficial mandatory challenger of Pac, plus it got him some nice scrilla on the side.

No. Neither of them have anything on Jeff Lacy.

btw, boxing fans don't defend Floyd at every turn, thats what stans do.

Boxing fans realize that in order to be the best,

it has to be proven, in the ring, not on paper, or with a money chart, or PPV sales, or watches given out, but

                in the ring.

What was your favorite moment in these fights?

                Floyd v Margarito
                Floyd v Cotto
                Floyd v Shane
                Floyd v Paul

btw, you're the only one clinging to one fighters nuts.

People like a KO artist. Floyd gets them sometimes, but he's far from a KO artist nowadays, at this weight.

Guaranteed if he had fought those fighters you mentioned, and only won them with decision victories, they would be downplayed, and the remaining fighters would be propped up.

And I just defended Pac in another thread a few posts ago, so you are barking up the wrong tree there, buddy.

Pac is already the best fighter of the era.

Just by beating Manny doesn't mean you also beat Cotto, Margarito or Mosley,

Until FLoyd faces any of those guys, he's just a fraud

That is not true Bruseles was not a build up for a cotto fight. Floyd-Bruseles fight was a WBC eliminator fight. It was a lead up to the Gatti fight. If you listen to the post fight interview. They were talking about Gatti winning his next fight. There was nothing about Cotto.

But, anyways Pac is the best fighter of this decade and is the greatest figther of this generation. Whatever happens on a head-to-head match up does not change it.

Duran always ranks higher than Hearns and Hagler. Pep ranks higher than Saddler. Nopoles is usually ranked higher than Monzon, Hopkins ranks higher than Taylor, Jones ranks higher than Tarver even though all these fighters lossed in a head-to-head match up they still rank higher. Pac would still rank higher than Floyd even IF Pac losses in a head-to-head match up.
