Lalonde was the LHW champ. And, I think he came down to 168. And, fought SRL for a vacant title at 168 if I am not mistaken and for Lalonde LHW title. And Leonard. So Leonard in the same night, in 1 fight won 2 different titles in 2 different divisions.

      Thanx for the input.

But were either Sugar Ray or Lalonde Forced to defend at a lower weight as Cotto was or were they Voluntary?

Hell he snatched de la hoyas WBC title at 154 legitimately.
Oh no I take the WBO belt and beating Cotto at 145. Over beating Judah for he shouldn't of had at 147. Or beating an old Oscar for a belt at 154.

I think people making too much of this catchweight is not the first time it has happened. When P4P #1 fighter and JWW champion of the world Chavez fought #2 P4P and the WW champion of the world Whitaker at a catchweight of 145. Chavez-Whitaker are 2 of the top 20 greatest fighters of all time and fought at a catchweight of 145 and nobody made a big deal about it. Whoever won was going to get full credit and be consider the better fighter. If Chavez would beaten Whitaker at 145 for the WW belt. Nobody would of the belt that Simon Brown over Norris was more credible than what Chavez would of won against Whitaker. So why make a big deal for Pac and Cotto? It has happened before and it will happen again. And, it means a lot what Pac and we witnessed history.

What do you mean forced as Cotto was?
