Manny is an all time great, respect to Cotto.

I don't think Manny's almost there, he is there and then some. When you consider the weight he came from, the quality of fighters he has beaten and the fact that he might not have even peaked just yet, it's incredible and scary at the same time.

You might think I'm overacting but I think Manny has the chance to become the greatest fighter pound4pound ever.

IF he can beat Mayweather, you have to put him in that discussion.

I've been thinking about these "Pac vs" threads before. I wonder what will the other members here say this time if somebody decides to put up another "Versus" thread, like Pac vs. Pryor, Pac vs. JCC, or Pac vs. Duran, I bet it will be a lot more interesting, heated and colorful now!

Those things are always tough to judge and that's why in boxing, vs threads are always just opinion because we will never know.

I am just amazed at how easy it was for Pac, seriously. He dominated Cotto is a way I never thought would happen. I knew he would win but damn, that was a beating.

I think it's a tough fight but Floyd beats Manny IMO.
You say Floyd has the style to beat Manny, but Manny has the style to beat Floyd. He's just as fast, creates angles that are much harder to counter than one thinks, and Manny really has developed into a complete fighter. The second knockdown of Cotto was a counter punch, the Hatton KO was a counter punch, the knockdown in JMM/Pac II, was also a counter punch. Adding to that he's a lefty which gets past the shoulder roll/shell combo that Floyd uses far easier than a straight right will ever do. We all thought Cotto/Pac was a 50/50 fight, but this one is even closer than that if its even possible.

Truth of the matter is . . . Team Cotto failed to properly prepare for Pac-Man. They trained hard true enough but they failed to train specifically for the explosiveness and awkwardness of Pac-Man.

How can you select sparring partners who posses NONE of the attributes of your future adversary with the exception of being left-handed?

Team Cotto would have been better served had they acquired the services of Juan Manuel Lopez or even Ivan Calderon to simulate the speed and skill of Pac-man.

They used the same two guys they had for the Tampa-Clottey camp didn't they!!

It was an act of negligence on the part of Joe Santiago and Team Cotto to prepare for Pacquaio with two sparring partners like they had on 24/7!!

How could "Slow Joe from Boise, Idaho" and "No-Name James from Iowa-Ames" challenge Cotto in preparation for Pac-man's explosiveness, experience and agility?

Not everyone, I had Pac winning and bet and won points on it. The reason i say Floyd has the better style is because there's only really one guy we can look to that gave Pac problems that's JMM. JMM is a master boxer, better than Cotto but doesn't have the physical gifts Mayweather does. Mayweather is a master boxer as well and has better speed, size and power than JMM.

I'm not saying Manny can't beat Mayweather, I'm not better or going against Manny again...LOL I'm just saying Mayweather style wise has the best shot.

No, sorry but you are wrong. First off, stop discrediting Pac and just give the man his due instead of making all these foolish threads. If the fight was somewhat competitive, I would say you have an argument but Cotto was DESTROYED.

Cotto used th proper strategy but couldn't continue it because he was getting countered with right hooks and straight lefts. It's easy to say, "Just throw the jab more" then try doing it when you are getting nailed after throwing it.

Pac showed he can take Cotto's punches, stand toe2toe with him and even out box him from the outside. If Pac and Cotto fight 10 times, Pac wins all 10.
