Manny is an all time great, respect to Cotto.

Besides all the BS threads and **** talking let's get down to the truth about this fight and these two fighters.

First off, much respect to Miguel Angel Cotto for showing class and heart in a lopsided fight. I always liked Cotto because he's always shown humility and class no matter what the situation. He fought hard and smart early on but as I predicted, speed would be too much for him.

Manny's foot speed was incredible in this fight. I was also shocked to see how Manny stood right in front of Cotto and took his shots like it was nothing. Pac is about as a complete fighter as I have ever seen. He's better than Henry Armstrong, he's in that class and he's an ATG.

Whether you want to argue he's a 7 division champ or a 5 division champ, it doesn't matter. For a guy who started his career at 106lbs and now is fighting at WW and just destroyed on of the best WW out there, incredible.

Filipinos should be proud of Manny because he will go down as one of the greatest boxers to ever lace up the gloves. His accomplishments are incredible when you really think about them and he is the greatest fighter of our generation.

Puerto Ricans should be proud as well because Miguel Cotto is a warrior and stood and took a beating at the hands of a great fighter. I respect Cotto more now than I ever have. He's all class and he talks the talk and walks the walk.

It's easy to hand pick opponents and avoid fighters who aren't a good "match up" for you. Instead Manny and Miguel gave the boxing world what they wanted to see. This is the reason Manny is the best fighter of our generation and why I have gained even more respect for Cotto.

Pac is a beast. Full cred to him and no hate on Cotto for the 1 sided fight.

Growing up in the Philippines, I often hear my elders praise Flash Elorde as the greatest Filipino fighter. In the future, I can tell me grandchildren that I was there when Pacquiao beat Cotto, Marquez, Hatton, Dela Hoya, Morales, and Barrera to become on of the best ever fighters in the world.

Thanks man and I have seen film of Henry Armstrong and even though I didn't see him live, I know I'm witnessing history in Manny.

I can't believe how good this guy is. The thing that shocked me was how he stood toe to toe with him in the later rounds and was taking his best shots....incredible.

I'll admit. I have given Pac a lot of **** for not fighting a good prime fighter. Booooooyyyy did he shut me up. Not only did he beat a prime fighter...but a WW who I considered the best in the division.

A great post. Miguel has nothing to be ashamed. He fought a very good fighter and lost. Miguel fights all the best fighters with NO excuses. Miguel said everything right on Pacquiao and i know pacquiao respects miguel for that. The best fighters have lost fights. Leonard, Duran, Tyson, Ali, Holyfield, etc, etc.

Manny's a ****in' pitbull, plus he's on some sadomasochistic ****, laughing during the fight. The man is a force to be reckoned with, and if Mayweather thinks the fight will be easy, he is horribly mistaken.
