He has a point. Mayweather vs. Marquez was seen as a mismatch and I am guilty of trying to convince people it wasn't; I honestly believed that. Where as Cotto vs. Pacquiao was seen as competitive and I myself said that would compensate for it's lack of hype. Neither was UFC on, on the same night.

Margarito and Mosley called him out face to face already and look at what happened.

When Cotto was coming off a victory over Mosley, Look what FLoyd did, Retired!

Nobody in Floyd's shoes would accept 50/50, youre speaking from either your hate or a fan's perspective. Step outside the fan's perspective for a moment and put yourself in the shoes of someone who's done the biggest PPV ever and also has outsold the opponent in question for each of your 3 common opponents, just doesnt make sense.

          1. DLH-Pacquiao wasn't seen as much of a fight either. So why compare?

          2. Common opponents don't mean **** when Mayweather was a well known AMERICAN boxer and Pacquiao was an unknown FOREIGN fighter. Things are much different nowadays.

How do common opponents show true fanbase numbers if when they fought one guy was a well known American olympic boxer at the time and the other was a relatively unknown foreign fighter? Not to mention a declining economy at the time of some of their common opponents.

Pacquiao's stardom has just recently eclipsed Mayweather's recognition. We should only compare recent fights that will show true number of how much of a fanbase both fighters have today. Not 3-4 years ago.

Actually you just don't have a reasonable answer my friend. Its ok though, it happens to most of floyds groupies when I put em on the hot seat.

I say 40/40 and the winner takes the extra 20% plus whatever other extra demands they wanted and would normally spend weeks at the negotiation table compromising on.

You're right and Mayweather has every right to go for the bigger share but Mayweather has no other opponent to face. He should swallow his pride and take 50/50.

What does fighting in the Phillipines have to do with common opponent PPV numbers? Marquez, Hatton, Oscar. I dont see anything wrong with 60/40 for crying out loud, Pac would stand to make what..perhaps 30 million at least, gosh.
