    Respectfully, i disagree.

Manny is on the very edge of a greatness perhaps never seen before in boxing. To achieve it he has to fight and beat Floyd. This is just fact, it's the fight 99% of fight fans the world over want.

If Manny wins, he becomes, arguably, the greatest. Without fighting Floyd his legacy will be clouded with the question; "could he have beaten Floyd" and indeed the same Q applies to Mayweather.

They both need the fight every bit as much as each other.

    it simply must happen.

      Pac's resume doesnt need gayweather.

This fight will only happen if and when gayweather bows down to Pac. At least 60-40 among other things.

Pac can retire and his legacy is secured.

Gayweather is a coward who ducked everybody.

But Pacman is proving too much vs old Mayweather foes (Hatton, DLH) in more impressive fashion

He's eclipsed Mayweather in the "I've won 5 titles in 5 weight classes" argument

He has a bigger list of HOFers and "names" on his record

He's the bigger draw and something Floyd hasn't allowed himself to be, likeable

He's considered (and rightfully so) the #1 P4P fighter in the world

He's embarrassing and stopping jr welters and welterweights

And he's doing it all with a crowd pleasing style.
You don't see very many Floyd fans making post like this.

^Only because it is true..and there is absolutely no reason Floyd could say

"Pacman is not good enough and hasn't proved anything."

          "Pacman is too small"

"Pacman hasn't achieved as many belts as me"

          "Pacman doesn't bring money"

Pacman has proven that none of that is true

If Pacquaio will beat Mayweather, then he could retire. Personally, I would put my money on Floyd, if this fight will happen.

this is now the ONLY fight that matters.

On top of that he hasnt came anywhere near a black man but yet he's a done deal without fighting the undefeated guy who retired #1? People love Pac so he's always going to get the benefit of doubt and they hate Floyd so he will never get the benefit but people still willl always question wether or not Pac couldve beat Floyd. Floyd is still the one thats undefeated and thats a huge number. All the mainstream fans look at that. It means something. They both want the fight so there is no use of making threads like this. In some ways they both need it but both want it so it will get done
Yes they both need it...Pacman will always have that "Pac never fought a great slick boxer and beat up on old greats, limited mexican/british fighters, etc...Just as Floyd needs it as he will always be remembered for not fighting the best welterweights

But keep in mind that Pacman has already built a legacy at the smaller weights vs Marquez, Barrera and Morales....we can always make a case for AND against any fighter's resume in history...fact is that Marquez was a nightmare for Pac, but Pac found a way to win. Pac was supposed to be fodder and in over his head vs Barrera. Pac lost to Morales which showed some of Morales's worth at the time.

Either way, it is a great fight that both men need. But my point is that Floyd's not 100% in the driver's seat as he may want to be. Both sides have leverage.

In this economy and general world state, I bet there are billions of people from all countries willing to take 50% of a lot of millions of dollars...yet alone a bonus to the winner by knockout
