At this point, Floyd needs Pac more than Pac needs Floyd.

And that's coming from a big Mayweather fan. I've been a fan of his skills like a lot for a long time.

But Pacman is proving too much vs old Mayweather foes (Hatton, DLH) in more impressive fashion

He's eclipsed Mayweather in the "I've won 5 titles in 5 weight classes" argument

He has a bigger list of HOFers and "names" on his record

He's the bigger draw and something Floyd hasn't allowed himself to be, likeable

He's considered (and rightfully so) the #1 P4P fighter in the world

He's embarrassing and stopping jr welters and welterweights

And he's doing it all with a crowd pleasing style.

      Agreed.

Manny fighting (and beating the **** out of) Cotto before Floyd is sad. Floyd HAS to be fight Manny now. And beat him decisively if he wants to cement his legacy since Manny cemented his already.

Pacquiao's already an ATG, and he can further himself up the list against other top fighters if Mayweather chooses to avoid him. Floyd has no where to run. Doesn't want to fight Mosley and now Cotto is out of the picture. The only redeeming fight is Pacquiao.

Both are ATG's so neither NEED each other...

And a handful of people on here would still rank Pac higher all time even if Floyd beat Pacquiao...

Floyd could strengthen his legacy by beating Berto/Mosley...

But the Pacquiao fight would be legendary...

The same guy who his trainer Roach dogged all of his opponents before the fight? Roach said Diaz was nothing, Oscar was drained, Hatton wasnt any good, and Cotto was shot but yet Pac's legacy is set in stone? On top of that he hasnt came anywhere near a black man but yet he's a done deal without fighting the undefeated guy who retired #1? People love Pac so he's always going to get the benefit of doubt and they hate Floyd so he will never get the benefit but people still willl always question wether or not Pac couldve beat Floyd. Floyd is still the one thats undefeated and thats a huge number. All the mainstream fans look at that. It means something. They both want the fight so there is no use of making threads like this. In some ways they both need it but both want it so it will get done

Since Floyd's not an ATG, if Pac beats him, it means NOTHING right?

Nothing at all...Floyd's just a cowardly bum...
