Although he lost, IMO Cotto was at his best during the fight. Good enough to beat even Mayweather

Cotto fought a great fight, but Pacquiao is simply amazing. You can look at Pacquiao's face after the fight and tell he was in a war. He truly earned this victory. I mean, he used the rope a dope on Cotto. It's ludicrous! Pacman weathered the storm against the ropes and came roaring back hard, he's sick! All props to Pacquiao, he earned this victory and my respective. No excuses from me. He beat my favorite fighter fair and square.

Now a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather truly would be great. The Offensive Juggernaut vs. The Defensive Master. I truly hope this fight happens, it would be almost as big as Ali vs Frazier I: Battle of the Century in my view.
I truely agree with you that mayweather-pacman will be the fight to wait. But the thing is, this fight will be a big hype than substance because of floyds style that doesnt engage too much. fighting styles makes the fight entertaining and give us our money's worth. Am a pacman fan but I always look at the entertainment side of boxing.

I was surprised how badly he beat Cotto. Pacquiao deserves his P4P #1 spot.

I never expected Pacquiao to be that dominate.

I knew Pacquiao would likely win but i gave Cotto a good chance.

I knew it was over after round 4 though.

                Deminished.

That 145 Catch weight limit literally drained Cotto. No meaningful body shots for the whole night? That's is bread and butter, and it was non-existant. I do not care what is said, in a championship fight every there are weitht limits already. No more catch-weight.

                  Man Up!!!

I'm a big Cotto fan. I've been posting comments on BoxingScene throughout the months leading to this fight. Unfortunatlely for me and like many others, I was dead wrong on this one. Manny whooped my boys ass! Manny was impressive and deserves everything that comes to him. He IS P4P the best. I'm not going to disappear after my boy lost and act like *****. Manny went in there and took care of business. The only question is now will Floyd sign the contract. Cong**** to all Pinoys...it was your night.

That's because your boy Cotto needs to PLANT IS FREAKING FEET TO THROW ANY. He won't land any picture perfect power shot (planted feet) on a quality fighter that actually can do the same IN MOVEMENT.

floyd vs manny will be a great fight. I think floyd can box manny to an ud but it's boxing and floyd is getting up in age, even if he loses i'll be happy for pacquiao. i love the pacman too
