That's just like saying if Roy Jones moved up to Heavyweight and beat Mike Tyson people would say it doesn't matter Mike Tyson was past his prime (and you know as well as I know that Tyson was past his prime when Roy wanted to fight him..)
    sad but true
if DLH beat Floyd its only cu zhe was suppose to
like Hopkins and DLH he was suppsoe to win
if Floyd beat Oscar its cuz hes old and done

No matter how you call it, if Mayweather beat Oscar it would add to his legacy and it would boost up his popularity.

        lol

Oscar and Floyd will never ever ever fight...I agree. However, someone tried to say DLH is afraid to come down to 147 because Floyd is there which is BS obviously.

Him being naturally smaller sets all that stuff off.
Not really. That depends on how DLH looks. If it is obvious he is way past his prime he will get money for the win but hardcore fans won't care that much. Just because you are small that doesn't give you credit for beating over-the-hill fighters. That's why anyone with sense don't give a S*** that Toney beat Holyfield.

What I'm telling you is, there is no way PBF will win unless DLH is significantly over the hill, just like there's little chance for Roy unless Tyson was far enough over the hill (which he was imo).

Only if De La Hoya had done something at welterweight before hand. If Oscar beat Zab ( not an impossible notion ) and held the undisputed titles, then Floyd challenged him and beat him, one could not deny Floyd the credit for that!
If Oscar clowned around with one fight a year against a bum then fought and lost to Mayweather, then it would be open to question. Oscar has to prove himself again before he is considered an opponent for Mayweather at Welterweight!

            What a Joke!

Did you just say that Oscar has to prove himself before he can be mentioned as an opponent for Floyd at Welter?

Who the hell is he fighting at 140? N'dou? Sosa? Corley? and worse BRUSELES?
Pretty Boy Floyd hasn't even fought the top guys at Jr. Welter!

Until Mayweather does something in his current division where there are some big names to add to his stellar career why even mention a move up to 147?

I was a huge fan of Floyd when he was taking on the Corrales's, Hernandez's, Chavez's, and the Castillo's of the world. He was fighting top guys and with the exception of a couple, almost making it look easy. But lately, all I hear is yapping from Floyd with no action.

I'd like to see Floyd get back to the old "Pretty Boy" and get back to fighting world-class competition. Till then...just shut up.

No, i said only if Oscar had a significant win under his belt could Floyd then claim bragging rights if he beat Oscar!

I don't think Oscar will fight this year, he seems more caught up in promoting than fighting.

If this is the case, Oscar should retire rather than fight for the wrong reasons!

I agree if De La Hoya doesn't want to fight he shouldn't waste his health and time fighting.
