When does Oscar plan to return to the ring? 147 lbs seems like a big step for him now, he looks pretty big. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this and also maybe knows who he might be facing when he returns. Will it be this year?

Actually the last time they showed him on HBO he looked better. I didn't notice a fat neck or one of those near "double-chins".

Maybe he is already dieting in anticipation of moving back to 147 lbs. He said middleweight was too much for him and welterweight would be where he likes to fight if he does fight again, so maybe retirement is an option he is considering as well.

If Oscar comes back I'd think he step right up to fight Judah, I forget what Oscar has said about his plans in more detail though. Someone'd have to steal one of those b-talk interviews.

last time i saw him on FNF he looked chubby and was hiding his double chin behind a small beard. At first he had said september and on that show he said maybe 2006.

i dont think oscar can make 147 without hurting himself.....his frame is just to big for him to get to 147 and be healthy

all be it along time ago tho
but i think his body has no problem making 147
when he was 160 he was fat n chubby
when he was 154 he cut but still had lil fleshyness
when hes at 147 hes at his best

Oscar wanted to go down to 147 cause it seemed like an easy place to win titles. Spinks seemed beatable, Judah washed-up and troubled, while the young prospects still looked too green. Now Judah is champ again, Spinks was impressive in defeat, and Cintron and Margartio are tearing up the division. Oh, and Mosley's back at welter now as well. Oh, and PBF and Kostya are making noise about moving up. Suddenly, welter doesn't look so great.

Mosley lost his last fight vs Oscar, looks as washed up as anyone, and Zoo and PBF wouldn't scare Oscar off after sharing the ring with Quartey and Vargas.

Win or lose Oscar did not impress either time against Mosley. Kostya may be getting old but a Vargas and Quartey are not PBF, and PBF would hit Oscar five times before he could scratch his double chin and wonder what just happened.
