Why Is The Pac/Cotto Weigh- In So Late?

For a boxing board there sure aren't very many knowledgable fans here. In fact I'd go as far as to say there are some downright morons here. There are more of them than sane rational people. I'm going to break it down for some of you that are clueless:

The weigh in takes place at 3pm Vegas time which is 6pm on the east coast.

Every major fight in Nevada has had the 3pm weigh in on the Friday. That includes Hatton-Pac, Marg-Cotto, the Morales-Pac fights, you name them they are all the same time, around 3pm.

Wow, I remember watching the Mayweather/Marquez weight-in at 4pm et, so that means it was at 1pm. Whatever i didn't make a big deal about the whole time thing anyway, good info to know tho.

Weigh-in open to the public

Friday’s weigh-in for Mayweather-Marquez, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, is open to the public. Fighters will step on the scale beginning at 2:30 p.m. PT. Doors to the arena open at 1 p.m. PPV undercard fighters weigh-in at 2:30 with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez weighing in at 3:10. Remaining undercard fighters will be weighed following the main event.

Comedian D. L. Hughley and radio personality Piolin will emcee the weigh-in.

the cotto fans are not used to how big fight/vegas fights work.

they're use to cotto fighting in new york/new jersey that's why.

only time cotto fought in vegas , well let's just say they try to forget about it.
