Haye backed out against Vitali because he is a puss, Johnson has bigger balls. The brits only back up Haye because the brits don't have any other good fighters at heavyweight.

I think he proved himself somewhat. There are still lots of unanswered questions about the guy though

If a fighter who overcomes the biggest weight differential in the history of HW boxing to win a points decision in Germany can't be said to have backed up his big mouth who can?

Haye came back after a year out, and after just 1/2 "proper" heavyweight fights, beat a titleholder who had only lost once in 50 fights.

Thats some good going if you ask me.
