But he doesn't NEED the right because Manny drops his guard and is wide open for a left hook counter, go watch the Marquez fights again, before you talk about something you have no clue about.
I never said that Cotto had no power in his right hand. I just said that he doesn't have one punch power in that hand. Pacquiao is a more balanced out fighter when it comes to hurting fighters with both hands and Cotto seems to never daze or hurt fighters with his right hand that much. Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley neutralized Cotto's left hook and he didn't have an answer for it. He stole some rounds by boxing, but he never landed anything to deter those guys because they took his money punch away from him. There is no such thing as taking a punch away from Pacquiao anymore because he can hurt guys with both hands now and he punches from more awkward angles than Cotto does. All Pacquiao needs to do is neutralize Cotto's left hook and this fight is in the bag for him.

lets not undermine the accomplishments of these 2 boxers....even ur hero said it...pac deserves where he is today...he earned it...

pac may have defeated an old DLH....but hatton is not overrated..his only loss is from FMjr...the pound for pound champ at that time...

and pac may be untested at 140 and above....he faught all the best fighters at 122 to 130....and as a boxing fan...u should know this...
you are right, as a boxing fan since the 80's i know what you are saying. and i gave pac his props when he defeated and exposed hatton for the 3rd time, but the way the oscar fight was made was not even at all, it was just for oscar to make his last big purse and retire. you should know that.

about your hatton comment not being overated, do you know who is Luis Collazo? if you dont you should youtube the fight and tell me if hatton was or not overated

Oh man, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Please, go watch each of those fights you just mentioned again, please. There is a difference between taking the punch away and being able to TAKE the punch. Mosley, Margarito and Clottey have NEVER been knocked out in their careers when the fought Cotto. And Margarito was the only who had ever been KNOCKED DOWN in their career at that point. So why is it expected that Cotto KO these guys in order to have power?

Also, none of those guys neutralized anything Cotto did with the exception of Clottey who has possibly the best defense in boxing outside of Mayweather. Margarito was eating left hands ALL night, not even in the first 6 if Cotto threw it, it was landing. Mosley got hit countless times with it, WATCH the fight again its on youtube. Clottey got hit with it as well, and the ones that came at the end of the 10th, just look at his face, he was surprised they hit as hard as they did.

People constantly bring up Cotto's KO status against elites... but those three elites in over 120 professional fights has NO knockout losses and only ONE, ONE knockdown in their career's. You have NO idea what you are talking about, if you want to have a discussion on this after you do some research and watch all those fights I mentioned feel free to come back, but don't spew you're garbage when you have no clue what you are talking about, and its apparent because you are wrong.

Oh yea, and one more thing. The knockdown that put Judah on his ass and essentially is what ended the fight was a right hand from a "Manny angle." I mean really, don't even watch the fights just stop responding in any Cotto threads because you know absolutely nothing.

Remember Cotto's right hand on Torres. It made him do the matrix

The only time that Cotto hurt one of those guys with a left hook was against Clottey at the end of the 10th or 11th round because he had his feet set to punch. I'm not saying he didn't land any left hooks on these guys, I am just saying that they were not effective on them because they had him backing up. Ricky Hatton had a pretty good left hook too, and look what happened there. He has faster feet than Cotto does and cuts the ring off better. The thing that evens that out a little bit is Cotto's size and longer reach. If Pacquiao can do a combination of good boxing and backing Cotto up to go along with it, Cotto is toast.
