Also, promotional companies do much of the promoting for a fight, like Top Rank is doing for Cotto vs Pac.

philippine tv rights like dean said? that's about 1-2 million. plus i know they show the fights in movie theaters. i don't know if that's included with the tv rights or not though.

enough of this. i don't care who makes more.

          they're all rich.

              They are covered with advertisements.
Companies pay HBO so HBO will put sports of their product and pictures and logos of their product on the ring as well.
              Pretty simple stuff.
HBO does not get that revenue alone. That revenue gets shared between them, the promoter, the building owners etc.

That revenue is mainly just to recoup expenses for advertising the fight that they have to pay for. They will not get a ton of incoming money anyway because it is a closed audience. Only the PPV viewers will see it, so they might make about a million in ring advertisements max, but it does recoup some costs.

                your math is dumb.

you're adding a guarantee plus a purse and cuts of the ppv. of which you are counting 40% of ppv gross not even net.
Main event fighters take the largest chunk of the revenue, they get more they get like 85% of gross.

                70 Million
                HBO 10
                GPB 7
                Undercard guys 2
                guerentees 16 together?

35 million-35 million= 35 million now everybody gets ehet beat wet off this number but Floyd would have been pulling in the vast majority of this sum.

                35*.75= 26.25

                26.25+12=38.25

Now this is just throwing numbers in there but I would reckon that is pretty close, any way you slice it the number at the end is huge for Floyd because he for sure got the biggest chunk of then gross and teh fight made a bunch of money, if you are saying GBP and HBO took 35 million and the other numbers are roughly the same, they would be splitting 17 million which Floyd would probably get 15 so 15+12 would be 27.

where did you get the figures to base that on? i don't even know the exact numbers of the ppv split.

                  is there a site?

                  i want to see.

The place holding the fight does not get anything except concessions, shirt/hat sales, in fact a casinos pay money just to host a fight because it draws in people to gamble and gets their name out there.

I am guessing Floyd would have got so much more then JMM, I am pretty sure JMM made peanuts compared to Floyd though, would be willing to bet on it.

Even though I have no way how to prove it
