to say mosley was robbed is dumb i think even SSM admited he lost the fight. yes it was close but cotto edged it
I think the fight was close and would not have been surprised if they
called it a draw or that Cotto did win. Cotto was busier in the early rounds
and I think that is what got him the win.

correction: 7 titles in seven different weight classes not 5, we cannot accept that.

That is really a great accomplishment IF HE ACHEIVES IT (6 titles in 6 weight classes is also greatness).

I'm a Cotto fan 1st but that doesn't take away the admiration that I feel for Pacman and his acheivements as a boxer and as a person.

Like Cotto himself said yesterday when asked if he is bothered by the hype and support that Pacman has; "Pacman has earned it all because of what he has accomplished in the sport and he should enjoy it".

The fact is that I will be rooting for Cotto 110%, but it is also a fact that Cotto will be facing a sure Hall of Famer and a Great figure for the Sport of Boxing.

Only an idiot would use compubox as a defining factor in a close fight like that.

Miguel Cotto. If Cotto comes in with his A game then he should
be able to stop Pac in 6/7 rounds. Cotto is a big puncher with a
decent beard, a great jab and knows how to cut off the ring bringing
pressure offensively. If Pacquiao thinks he will move in and out
tagging Cotto then he will be eventually put against the ropes.
Cotto fights his best offensively and Manny is not known to be
an aggressor in his fights but rather wait for his opponent to
come in. Manny hasn't even fought a guy with the size, power
and skill set of Cotto yet, how can people make him such a betting
favorite? Big ass Margarito couldn't even put homes out and he
could of had some help. Manny is going to need to pressure
Cotto inorder to beat him and that's not his game plan or style.
It's not like Manny is a defensive fighter either and sure he will
taste some of Cotto's power shots. Man I can't wait till this
weekend because frankly, as much as I like and respect Manny
Pacquiao, this Pac mania is off the chain. It can go either way
but am leaning towards Cotto just off of experience at WW alone.
yep dude good post,i agree with you completly.apart from the fact i am a cotto fan but a pacman fan too but i do see cotto knocking him out if he keeps leaping in with his combo, manny leaves himself wide open and cotto will hunt him dowm

Another faulted preview... One cannot, I repeat, CANNOT look at the clottey fight and base anything of off that fight except for the fact that cotto can bleed and fight on. That huge gash on the third changed that fight. Doctor asked to stop it if they wanted to and cotto wanted to go on. He had to stay on a back pedal, constantly dealing with the ongoing bloodflow and blind from the left eye. Yet he lasted all 12 rounds and continued to press on. Ever been in a situation losing a good ammount of blood? Gt dizzy, weak and blurry vision. Yet cotto prevailed.

Where the heck did you get those numbers from? Anyone watching the fight clearly saw Mosely getting served especially in the first half of the fight as well as the later rounds. If he did land more if definitely wasn't power shots cause Cotto was cracking him win plenty of those throughout the fight.

Margo couldn't take him out with loaded gloves, mosley couldn't take him out with his power shots, neither did Judah. Cotto will jab at first( a power shot talking about cotto) and then move in and cut the ring. Cotto within 9-10

Plaster or not Margo wore down Cotto. Cotto was getting hit to much in that fight to start with. Mosley fight only inexperience fans are gonna side with the Compu box scores. It is based on clean effective punching and who controls the round. It is no secret that Cotto gets hit alot and it is shown on the analysis especially with power punches.

Don't know if Manny developed a left uppercut that would be the most effective way to hit Cotto. If Cotto moves to his left and jabs to Manny shoulder, Manny is gonna be in alot of trouble. If Manny's power starts affecting Cotto then is Manny's fight.

Who ever imposes their will win the fight. But looking back I have to side with size, wouldn't be suprised if Manny pulled it off.
