speed is always a factor when it comes to elite fighters even if it is not the winning factor, much of mc's training cam had to be based on handling pac's speed, thus his gameplan will be tailored for it

i know this has been commented on but it is less about increasing speed and more about maintaining it. WHen fighting 106 you are fighting the fastest fighters in the sport as you gain weight you're hand speed often diminishes just because you are moving more mass. If you can do exercises or some regimen to maintain speed while gaining weight you will have a major advantage on those who are not accustomed to seeing that tye speed in higher weight classes
