He's an alphabelt champion who barely beat an aging Holyfield, got a gift decision in the Golota fight, hugs and clinches like a koala bear. If I was to become a fighter, I certainly wouldn't be hugging people - that's not fighting.

race is a ****** concept, anyway, that really doesn't make any sense if you think about it - people look at me and call me white, because of my pale skin and light hair, but my great x 4 grandmother was a mohawk indian - you can see it in some of my facial features, like my cheekbones - so knowing that, what would you call me? 95% white 5% native american? and what about my cousins, the kids of my african uncle - are they 48% white, 48% black, and 4% native american? at what point do we just give up and admit that we're all just humans?

i guess though that as long as people keep thinking that race exists and is a big deal, it's gonna exist and it's gonna be a big deal.

So both Klitckos are white. Nicolae Valuev is white. Andrew Golota is white. The guy that almost fought Vlad but pulled out is white. Vitali is the first white heavyweight champion since Rocky Marciano.


Also Joe Mesi and Ty Fields are white. Only Joe Mesi and Ty Fields are reffered to as the great white hopes. Why is this? With so many white people in the top ten, why are only Americans referred to as the great white hope? Do white Europeans not count???

I don't get it. Should they change the name to the great American White Hope or just the American Hope?

I know this is going to sound ******, but I never really thought about the fact that the last white champ in the heavy division being Marciano, back in the 50's. Does this have anything to do with Klitchko not being popular on most of these boxing forums, or at least being extremely controversial, do you think? And that's a serious question, not a snyde remark.

the great white hope is an american born white dude, perfect example was tommy morrison thats a great white hope, klitschkos aint american they dont count
